Important announcements; read before using WDF
This thread contains a centralized list of useful bits of information that will make your stay at WDF more enjoyable.
Linking to WDF:
There is a 468x60 banner image as well as a 88x31 button available to use if you want to link to WDF. The images and HTML for them is available at http://www.webdesignforums.net/thread4802.html .
Special Formatting Code:
WDF, being a web design site, has many vB/BB codes optimized for such a purpose, including optimization of the built-in tags. See http://www.webdesignforums.net/wdf_bbcodes.php for a full list of changes from a normal vBulletin forum, plus how to use included formatting codes.
Accessing WDF without a desktop browser:
WDF has many RSS (really simple syndication) feeds available. Look for the orange RSS icon at the top of pages, or the one at the bottom of every page.
Privacy Policy:

Awards:
WDF has "awards" (small icons) in users' posts that designate them as moderators, contest winners, :wdfplus: members, etc. To see what each award means, either hover your mouse over it or see http://www.webdesignforums.net/faq.php for a full list.
Moderators:
The WDF team and myself choose to promote regular users to moderators who are very helpful to the community, mature, and responsible. We only promote when we see a need, such as when the workload increases substantially, and users will be contacted first in advance of their promotion. We do not promote those who ask, so do not ask if you can be a moderator! Your best hope for becoming one is to be helpful at the forums with detailed posts.
