    Does anyone know if it is possible to resize a flash fla file after it has been made. I have a movie that is 500x500 and need it to be resized to about 300by300. I hope this is possible. Thanks guys.

    i've always had problems and when i resize the movie i have to move ALL the elements around

    When you publish just change the size. You can change the size in the HTML file too.

    That doesnt change the size(as in kb), which is what I wanted to do.

    Fallout, if you want to change the file size in kb, you must seek out the Master of the Fu!

    Changing the file size of a flash file is not a really easy thing to do. A quick and dirty fix is to use Optimaze.

    Resizing a flash movie in the Flash program is like using Canvas Size in Photoshop. Two good descriptions would be resizing the area of use or cropping the area. None of the object move because Flash files are not bitmap based. They are more vector based, if anything.

    The only way to change the actual image width and height of flash files, like in Photoshop's image size, is to change the settings in the html.

    I went ahead and redid the thing I was working on. Optimaze looks helpful but its crazy expensive. Thanks for the help guys.
