I am using flash mx and trying to rotate an object around a point. I am trying to create a swinging mouse. I copy my image from the internet and trace bitmap. Then I insert motion tween.

Then, I insert another frame and change the position. I want to make it swing, so I move the rotation point (the white circle in the middle of the object) to the top-center then rotate it slightly to the left.

However, this makes my animation go weird. The mouse moves up and around. It's really dodgy. I just want it to move slightly to the left in a swinging can I do this or how can I solve my current problem?

    Thanks in advance, will7.

highlight the object and hit F8. This will create a symbol out of it. Edit the symbol and displace the object the desired distance from the insertion point (the little axis in the middle). Then return to your root timeline and create the motion tween using "rotate and skew". Use easing to simulate gravity.
