    Hi,

when i create a symbol, i want to allign it to the stage using the X and Y coordinates in the properties window. I noticed that this X and Y refers to a little + sign in the symbol. Now i would like to know how to change the position of that +? Because mostly its in the upper left corner of the symbol, but sometimes it isnt.

    thanks,

    Matt

Flash comes with an align pallet/window so this is very easy to do. You do not change the + position.. rather you change the position of the object inside the symbol. First you have to open the symbol you want to change. Then you select the object(s) inside the symbol(make sure your align pallet is open). There is a "To Stage" toggle switch in the align pallet, make sure it is active befor your apply the nessessary alignment to the object, otherwise it will try to align different objects(if you have more the one selected) to each other and not the symbol. Then click the approperate align(top row) buttons to position the element properly inside the symbol. The left three deal with horozontal position, and the right three deal with vertical position.
