In dreamweaver, it allows you embed flash text into a page, but doesn't seem to allow a transparent background. Is it possible to achieve with flash, or am I stuck with poor quality gif?

If not flash, how else can it be achieved that would have a good quality and no squary chunkiness?

Not absolutely sure what the question is.

You can supposedly (never needed to do it myself yet) make flash movie backgrounds transparent:

As far as i know...When making transparent gifs (photoshop) who can't really use anti-aliasing on the text or it'll have annoying little white bits around the edges. The text needs hard edges.
