I have a 15mb wmv file that when imported into flash increases it to above 70mb no matter what I do, even if i re edit video and make it only 4 meg flash still increases the size.
Is this just a problem because its wmv and windows movie maker sucks for videos, i've tried all sorts to get this video into the site i'm making but still no luck, any help would be appreciated

Is it because of the sound files?
You can lower the kbps on it or save it as MP3 in 44kbps.
Or are you talking video only?

Its just the video only that gets imported in because the sound has to be put in the file seperately to work with it (for some unknown reason)

    Go to File
    Click on Publish Settings
    Go to the Flash Tab

Go down to both the JPEG QUALITY and change that to a much lower resolution. I think the default is at 80 or 90.
You can go much lower, but you have to play with it to make sure you don't lose quality (if that it what you are striving to do).
Also, you can change the Audio Stream & Audio Event to a lower sound quality (16 or 8kbps).
Make sure you click on the "override sound settings".

Other than that, I am tapped out on how to resolve your issue.
    I hope this helps.
    Good luck.........

Cheers for the feedback, still haven't managed to solve it yet, going to try convert video to some other media other than wmv see what happens, if still screwed i'll just make the site non flash instead
