We had a company put together a Flash movie that works as an infomercial of sorts on our website. They put together a scrolling list of logos of our clients that isn't as smooth as the rest of the movie. The logos briefly freeze then skip ahead to catch up with the 24 fps frame rate, apparently.

I looked at the .FLA file and the list of logos is a movie clip scrolling through a masked area on the stage. It looks fine in Firefox, so I'm wondering why this is happening in Internet Explorer only. The creators claim it's the unpredictability of Flash animation in IE, but if it's consistently the same point of the animation, can't something to be done to fix that? :ermm:

The FLA file is huge, about 200 MB.

You can view the swf file at www.lraworldwide.com/cem_movie_test.html
