    Hi there!

    I am trying to make a flash rollover button which plays a sound when clicked etc.
    I have used photoshop to make the button images.

    When i import the button into dreamweaver and test it, all is fine apart from a white flicker/flash which happens after i have clicked on the button.

    Can someone sugguest why this might be?
    Do i have to attach some actions to the button in order to prevent this happening?

    Also while im on the subject....
    How do i attach a (goto URL) action to button?

    Thanks!

    You probably attached a sound to the "down" state of the button, but forgot to copy the actual image of the button onto that state. The easiest way is just to F6, to insert a keyframe which should take care of it.

    Although at this point I might need to warn you that a flash button may not be followed by Search Engines. And I'd hate it if I have to download the plugin first to use your navigation.

    Oh and one more warning: Most of the time users have to click once to activate a flash object, and only then can they click again to trigger your action. People are used to clicking once to open links.
    Note on code: If I give code, please note that it is simply sample code to demonstrate an effect. It is not meant to be used as-is; that is the programmer's job. I am not responsible to give you support or be held liable for anything that happens when using my code.

    On the actions for the button, put:
    Code:
    on(release){
    getURL("http://asdf.com");
    }
