    Hi Everyone,
    I had a client toss me over the flash template they wanted for their website. For the life of me I just can't figure out how the template creator designed the menu. I am used to just creating buttons and then using the getURL command. In this case, the template creator has a layer which includes the following code:

    Code:
    this.loadVariables("_urls.txt")
    Stage.showMenu=false;
    stop();
    In the _urls.txt file, it contains the following:
    Code:
    url1=http://www.companyname.com/page1.html
    &url2=http://www.companyname.com/page2.html
    &url3=http://www.companyname.com/page3.html
    I am a little confused as to how the menu items are linked to these as they are not buttons, but movie clips instead. When I test the buttons out on the server, I get the following pop-up notification:

    "No URL1!"

    NOTE:
    I tracked down some scripting within the movie clips:
    Code:
    on (rollOver) {
    	gotoAndPlay("s1");
    }
    on (rollOut, releaseOutside) {
    	gotoAndPlay("s2");
    }
    on (release) {
    	 if(_root.url1==""|| _root.url1== undefined){
    		 getURL("javascript:alert('NO URL1!')")
    		 }
    	  else{
    		  getURL(_root.url1,"_self")
    		  }
    }
    Can someone give me some guidance on how to designate the menu items as links to the correct pages? I have changed the _urls.txt file addresses to my company name already.

    Thanks.

    Please disregard this message.

    I just removed the script below the on(release) command and replaced it with the getURL.
