    I am trying to Work with the files found here:

    USA Flash + PHP Map Button Graphical Interfacing

    I downloaded the .zip and am now working on the .fla file they provided.

    "These are the instructions the developer provided:
    I placed examples for AS2 and AS3 on the actionscript
    layer inside of the movieclip for you to reference.
    New York and Washington are coded already.

    Each Province is a button symbol with OVER state,
    and click sound set on the DOWN state."

    "TIP: Where I have this application in use I am using a
    URL string like the following for each US state's click function.

    http://www.somesite.com/state_choice...ate=Washington

    And that PHP page knows what to display according to the
    URL variable sent. That way I don't need 52 pages, just one
    dynamic page.

    Or you can choose to code each state to go to a separate page,
    or you may want to stay in flash and present state options from
    inside this flash file. The sky is the limit, but you are on your own
    for coding it."

    So this is what I want to do, I want to code each state to go to a separate page, How do I do this?

    I've tried these scripts on a us state but to no avail:
    on(press,release){
    getURL("somedomain.com","_blank");
    }
