    I have a large SWF that requires a pre-loader. But that larger SWF requires a variable sent via the Flashvars option from the html page calling the preloader. Does any one know of a way to make sure the data I'm sending to hte preloaded gets forwarded to the larger swf file I'm loading?

    I'm trying this at the moment: where vFile is the name of the loading swf file and valueStr is the variable I want to send.

    var swfLoader:Loader = new Loader();

    var urlVariables : URLVariables = new URLVariables ();
    urlVariables['prize'] = valueStr;

    var swfURL:URLRequest = new URLRequest(vFile);

    // setting the variables it need to cary = urlVariables;

    // setting method of delivering variables ( POST or GET )
    swfURL.method = URLRequestMethod.POST;

    swfLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Progr essEvent.PROGRESS, onProgressHandler);
    swfLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event .COMPLETE, loadProdComplete);

    I think this is working - but how do I retrieve the information in the second swf file?
