I have created a flash site with a 15 second music loop, the swf file is 232kb and takes too long to download on a dial up connection. Is there anyway I can have the file size 'cut down' without affecting any of the quality?

I suppose the sound is in mp3. Try to lower the bitrate. I recommend you Audacity [http://audacity.sourceforge.net/]. If you don't know how to, upload the sound file and I'll do it.
