    Wired's link is good, but I would do one thing differently when making the water drop. I would make the circle, drag the top point up, and adjust the anchor for the top point, all as they did.

    BUT then I would delete the right most point of the drop, which would leave me with just a left half of the drop. Then I would ALT+SHIFT drag the left side over to the right, REFLECT the right side, and then ALIGN them with 0 space between. Then I would CTRL+J to join the bottom 2 points and again with the top 2 points.

    This way it is 100% perfectly symmetrical.

    Just my 2 cents.
