    Hi Guys,

Okay this is my first sorta time playing with Adobe Illustrator and creating a vector of myself.

Does it look okay? Is there anything I can do to improve it? I haven't used any tutorials at the moment, so any that you think I would benefit from would be most appreciated.

I hope MYIWDesigns replies because her Vector illustrations are awesome! haha

    Cheers guys

    Thanks!

I just notice this thread. Pretty good for your first try. I use Photoshop to create my vectors mostly, Illustrator can be a pain sometimes, especially using the vector path pen.

[COLOR=rgb(0, 0, 0)][COLOR=rgb(20, 20, 20)]Well honeslty it needs some touching up. Your lines can be a little thinner

Yea i used the widening line tool in Illustrator to give it that cartoon effect. Im guessing that wasnt a great thing to do lol. Also with shadowing etc how do i do that? I mean how far down the hex do i go for the shadow effect so it blends but doesnt look tacky.

For instance the darker shade under the jaw line of your avatar is just slightly darker than the face. Is there like a rule for shadows... if the color is this then 2 steps down use that color?

Sorry if that made no sense

Well it really doesn't matter what version, its not like a special tool you use. Not to tweak my own horn , but it does take a little bit of artistic skills to get it the way you want it. ( I just happen to have the lastest
    version.
