    When I'm in Illustrator my canvas is always white (even though when I save something it saves it as transparent) but I'm wondering if there's a way to have the canvas be transparent while editing something?

    i found this an issue too, but what u need to do is go to window and click hide artboards. this will make the backgrounds transparent, even when saving as png. hope this helps
