You can try here - http://www.freeiconsweb.com/
if you do a search and they don'r have any free ones, they'll often find some on other sites, but usually those are not free.

    Examples...
Good design should never say "Look at me!"

I know - I'm constantly searching for images for some of my clients who want to use them in their blogs. At least I have finally dissuaded them from using Google Images to steal stuff!

Here's a thought - some of the terms you are using are particularly British - try searching for Americanized versions - carpentry or cabinetry instead of joinery, that sort of thing.

That makes sense, i'll give it a shot! To be honest, the issue is I am looking for a set that includes all of the fore mentioned to have consistency in design - I could create them in Illustrator but a. it will take a fair old file b. I haven't factored such bespoke design into the project cost c. well more of a & b! As you say it's good to move the client away from clipart and lo-res images, their current website is full of them but all the time searching...horrible!

Yeah google's great but it's a matter of finding images that aren't copyrighted etc.
I had a time trying to find royalty free images of brass rods for my client, I managed to just get away with the photos I personally took in their factory. Though they weren't totally was I was after I managed to make something from them and by golly those stock photo websites are expensive, I wish I could find a cheaper stock photo website(s)

I personally use Dollar Photo Club but the selection is rather limited. Its only 10/month and that 10 gets you 10 images. If you need more they are only a dollar after that as well.

You can also use advance searches in google to find images that are licensed for commercial use now.

But Kristina there is no reason to drag up 3 year old posts. Ive noticed you do this before but not for a post this old.
