    Hi,

I only saw photoshop and illustrator forums listed so I figured this would be the best place for my question out of the two. I'm new to inDesign and I am trying to create a business card. When I place my cmyk .ai file and scale it down I loose some of the details (specifically some black outline that is throughout part of the image) the text looks unkept. If I place the image as .png then I don't loose any detail when I scale it down but the image still looks sloppy.

    1) Is there a way to avoid this in inDesign or should I just create a smaller image in illustrator (this kinda defeats the purpose of using a vector image it seems)?

    2. The image I'm trying to place has text in it as well; should I just import the graphics of the image and ad the text afterwards in inDesign?

    Thanks!

Problem solved. Just had to set the display settings to maximum under the view menu.
