I'm having trouble creating web graphics from illustrator. The save fror web option just destroys my logo - whether gif or jpg. Am I missing something? How can I createa clean graphic from Illustrator?

None of it looks anti-alised, when you export it for the web your going to destroy some of the quality because of turning from smooth vectors to low res pixels. (but not like this) I don't use Illo... though. What happens if you export it as an .eps and save using PS ?

It looks like there is no matt color specified for the gif. That will give it an alised look. If you will have your image on a white background then set the matte to white in the save for web dialog window.

EDIT: and you might need more colors in your color pallet then three for it to look smooth. Try at least 16 if you are conserned with size, or full 256 for best results.

Thanks for your comments. I don't see an antialias function in the save to web function. Also, specifying the matt colour doens't really help, and I can't seem to add others...

The export as jpg works much better, but I can't believe the save to web feature is unusable...
