    Hi guys,

Im picturing this for my site:

A white background site. On the left side is a standing wizard with a white background (to blend into the rest of the site seamlessly). The wizard image does not scroll (using CSS to hold it in place) while the content/menu bar/text on the right side will scroll.

Any advice on how wide to restrict that image to? I want to tell an artist "make me an image XX by XX in size" - I suppose it needs to work well at both 800x600 or 1024x768....but is there a general consensus as far as "how wide is too wide" - i.e. how much space do I have (pixels) before I make the page too crowded?

    Best Regards

    Jarrett
