When you have a .psd template is it just one big image? and if so how can I make that into a viable website? Is it just slicing? or more than that.

You first need to slice the image up. Once you have sliced it you can then either use the generated HTML code to make a website or create your own.

Don't forget that background for content areas will need to be repeatable .

Alternatively, you could always use srollable DIVs for the conent areas It's up to you really. Unless you have massive amounts of content, then scroll boxes should be adequate.

Good point Will, but there are many people - including myself - that dislike long pages in DIVs, but remember to split your page content up to keep the reader interested .

I hate long pages in DIVs as well. It's alright for bits of content, but for long pages then yeah, use justlivyalife's way
