    Anybody know how to make fireworks (explosion dealies, not the graphics package) in Photoshop?

    Hey filburt,

    There's a sweet plugin for photoshop called Kai's Power Tools (KPT) that does sweet fractal graphics that you could probably get to look like fireworks.

    If you want to do it by hand, my suggestion is to try starting with a black canvas, blob on some effects, and make radial arrays of them. Then use Ctrl+T to skew the layer some, and add effects like paint daubs and lighting effects to give it a fireworks "feel".

    I'm gonna quickly try this and post it in a minute.

    Here's my best 2 minute rendering using a spatter brush and a gradient in the background....

    I got too lazy to do the one above, but I think maybe using a spatter brush or something from the "Natural Brushes" assortment might be better than using the paint daubs filter.

    LOL.... well I'd really kinda have to see the fireworks to get an accurate depiction. I rarely get to see them, and unfortunately I don't have a photographic memory.
