right i am having problems with the 'spacer' row at the bottom of my imageready sliced up image. I need the space directly below it, a 1px gap is not acceptable.

there is also a gap in the border too, the border above the gap is in the image but the border below is a seperate table. It cant be solved by using borders because as i said i need to get rid of the gap..

i tried using style="display: none" but this made the image all mucked up

is there any way to resolve this? (sorry for the long post!)

ok it doesn't matter, you can specify not to use spacers in the save optimized options

    HTML?

It's likely unneeded whitespace in one of the <td> tags.

ok if there isn't any way to get rid of it, is there an option in imageready that will automatically make sure that the image when sliced will fit into a table with no rowspans or colspans (sorry if i am being a little vague, i don't really know how to explain it!)

    An interesting note....

To eliminate extra space around images inside tables, try putting a <br> directly after the <img> tag like this:

    <img src="spacer.gif" width="100" height="1"><br>

    It fixes most spacing issues.
