In ImageReady CS, you can apparently have "slice sets"--just like layer sets can group layers together, slice sets can, I reckon, contain different groups for slices. This would be a godsend for one of my current projects where I have to slice both foreground images and background images, where the former are superimposed on the latter.

Does Photoshop CS have this capability? If not, is it possible to have one slice on top of another without cutting up the slice beneath it?

As far as I know, slice sets are only available in ImageReady. I'd be curious also if anyone else has a definitive answer.

You can slice in Photoshop CS (you can use that slice tool under the magic wand tool), but I think you'd better use ImageReady for this.
