    Well, im not sure if thats the right forum i posted but what the heck.

    I have this problem. Im from Slovenia and we have special CE charachters and my browser doesnt want to display them. When i work with GoLife everything is cool but when i save the file the CE charachters wont display properly. They change.

    I know you wont understand whats on that page but please give it a try and tell me if it works with you or you just get #$!#$ and symbols like this.

    www.drustvo-drmc.si/test.html

    Other sites do open properly. I mean , other slovene sites.

    I'm not sure if it's working properly or not, I don't get standard "english" characters...I attached a screen shot of what I see, sized down so you just see the characters I see. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the screenshot but it should look like this... it should look like my attachment.

    Any idea what that could be?

    The reason it didn't work on my machine could be because I dont have any launguage packs installed on my computer. Sometimes when visiting a site, IE (or maybe windows, I can't remember) pops up and asks me to install a "korean language package" or somethign like that. I just dismiss 'em. That's the only thought that comes to mind right now on this problem...

    It's not just a lnaguage pack issue. It's also a codepage issue.

    I've done a lot of work with NLS (National Language Support), so I've seen this problem before.

    You have to set your content-type to your font set.

    Either use this (the ISO-8859 standard character set for central european fonts):
    Code:
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-2">
    or this (the unicode standard, which supports all fonts):
    Code:
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
    The second is preferred, because it is the more recent technology, and supports all languages. Try that first. If you can't get it working, try the first one.

    I checked your source.... it's actually specifying:
    Code:
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
    This is the LATIN character set, which doesn't support the fonts you need!
