    yes to the four arms. i have a laptop and a desktop box here. gonna get a wacom pad for drawing/painting in a few months and another box next year.

    next box is going to be insane:
    AMD Clawhammer
    1-2 gb of memory
    80 gb hard drive
    120 gb hard drive (8mb cache)
    3d Labs Wildcat 512mb memory (dual display)
    2 Sony 17" monitors
    Audigy Audio card (whatever is good then)
    Altec Lansing speakers

    Windows XP Pro
    Maya Unlimited
    Lightwave

    I just got myself a nice machine for ma games and graphics work the spec is as follows.

    Gigabyte GB-7VAXP with Dual Bios and Raide firewire.
    AMD ATHLON XP 2.4GHZ
    512 DDRRAM
    40GIG HDD
    GEFORCE 4 TI 128 DDR wiv TV out...


    i mean that setup is quality for what i do gettin more ram soon don't know why cuz it runs like a dream on xp at the minute...

    obviously i got onboard lan and sound.. but they dont matter, still zionlocke's machine is a moster compaired to mine lol...

    You can get personal version of Maya for free. I'm assuming that's what he has. Of course I might be wrong.

    i have that now. will get maya unlimited educational for 800 next summer.

    edit:
    moving the desktop right now upstairs; will get a kvm when I get another desktop; hehe maybe I'll build two of those beasts!!!

    Heh.. rich bastard :P You've got the same keyboard and mouse I do... man I love these things. But I would suggest aiming for 19" monitors... they're grand.

    Sound does't matter?? But then that's me, I'm horrible with CD's so I put everything on my computer. Plus I do a bit of recording etc
