    hi all!
my first thread on webdesignforums.net, so i hope it is the right section (i posted here because it's a just a preview).
well, this is my first attempt at making a layout, so i'll be grateful for any comment.

it's for a mountain refuge (hope it's the right expression).
still lacks the title: i'm thinking about it.

    cheers

Looks nice - it took a long time to load in ImageShack.

I like the green jagged mountaintop effect.

sorry. any better host? it was the only one working from my pc today.
I like the green jagged mountaintop effect.
    thanks!
i'd like to know what you think about the photo i added: would be better a grid with many icons instead of the big one only?

If this site is for a mountain refuge, instead of a food image, I would use an image more in keeping with the theme - very basically:

homepage => a photo of the actual lodge or house or whatever it is
about page => portrait of owner and/or managers
amenities page => here would be a place to put photos of the rooms, the pool or spa, the restaurant, etc.

    you get the idea.

    Very nice layout there adeptus!

A couple of thoughts: What are you planning to have as text in the left of the large green gradient box? Depending on whats going in there, might I suggest a text header.

I'm also intrigued as to how the background will look once its live...have you allowed for the background to repeat both horizontally and vertically?

Keep up the good work....oh, and welcome to WDF

thank you! i really want to make a good work, so i'm trying different soluntions.
at first, in the green box i thought to place greetings or something like that, maybe an introduction to contents, but your idea could definitely work better...it depends on what text i can manage to achieve.
about the background, still don't know: this is just a preview and i'm not sure if it will be me to code it.
oh, yes: please forgive any english mistake

ps: cool avatar! love that sit-com^^

it is good, simple but creative, nice idea, but there must be a purpose on that white paper over the jagged green gradient, I know you have, totally great and straight. No messy complicated designs, just clean and comfy.

Very nice details on the freen top.

The post-it is nice too, you could use some handwritten Font for this. This way it looks more real.

About the text, i wouldn't use Blue in you design, replace that with green.
