I'm not a Photoshop expert myself, but I think you're looking for the Gradient tool. Gradients take you from one color to another (like the background here on WDF). In this case, you go from blue to white.

But what I don't understand is why you need to design that box in Photoshop if the box is already designed in that JPG and if you have enough Photoshop knowledge to create a rectangular box with a drop shadow and a stroke.

Me thinks the arrow should have been in the Other Direction.... his "price box" is the orange one with the dollar sign and numbers in it...

basic box ( single color filled on my screen )... or perhaps my eyes... with rounded corners... and a pull out....

I'm not a photoshop expert either... actually been years since I've used it... but if I remember correctly... create the box... under the box properties you can set the "fill color" and corner radius to "looks like 5-7"... create a small triangle of the same fill color... then use the "path tool" to pull the top corner of the "triangle up and at an angle" to create the pull out..... My terminology is probably no longer accurate as the last version of photoshop I used was 5...

perhaps one of our resident photoshop experts will wander in shortly

Hmm. Yeah, maybe. It's hard to say because either could be the case.

You can easily create that in pixlr, which is a simpler little tool. Just create an orange rounded rectangle, and type in your price. Better yet, use HTML to type the price in.

go to custom shape tool and find the shape "Talk4 and Talk 5". these shapes are the exact ones that you are looking for. then create a new layer at above of the shape layer, select the text tool and type whatever you want. thats the most easiest way to solve your problem...
