Does anyone know of any good PhotoShop tutorials? I currently use Adobe Fireworks and I like it very much. I purchased PhotoShop so I could learn how to use it since it seems to have a few more advanced features.

What sort of tutorials are you looking for? I have small art tutorials here but depending on what you are looking for I would suggest either Deviantart.com or look up specific tutorials on Google.

Thank you Fireproofgfx those are really nice! I am used to working with Fireworks and wanted to learn how to use Photoshop. I have searched around Google but that can get pretty exhausting after awhile. I will try Deviantart also.

Do you use anything special like a drawing pad and pen? Or do you just use the mouse? I was thinking about getting a pad and pen so I can make images more detailed, plus I like new toys.

I did purchase a Wacom Bamboo Tablet about a year ago and started using it but then it has collected dust ever since. There is a learning curve to using them and getting use to them. You pretty much need to use it everyday in place of the mouse and then you will get use to it. I used it primary for pentooling but Photoshop Cs5.5 has the quick select tool that works just as good.

Just ordered Adobe Photoshop CS5, going to jump in head first as soon as it arrives. So I am sure I will be posting some questions soon. Thanks in advance to all you graphic designers out there.

You can always check YouTube for tutorials. But you can also search for sites offering free or paid tutorials.
