I need to animate some photo-realistic clouds moving towards the screen, similar to what the old 2advanced had.

I need to which 3D Program would be best for making something like this... also, if anyone knows of any tutorials for doing it.

    Thanks !!!

2advanced clouds werent made in a 3d software.. they are frames taken from video and edited to loop. Might want to look into some image extracting software for video..

forwardtrends, I never assumed they were made with 3d software. I was only using them as an example of what I'd like to accomplish with 3d.

Royalty-free stock background animations...once you pay about $300 for them:

Some of them look like clouds. All should loop seamlessly.

I would imagine almost any 3-D program would suit you. I would just make a cloud texture in Photoshop, and paste it onto a distorted sphere that rolled and moved towards the camera then render that...
