    Hi Guys,

We have to spend a number of hours every time when we convert approved design into html. Is there any software that can convert approved design into html ?

Adobe Fireworks will do it; but there is no substitute for hand coding in my opinion
    AlphaMare and Fireproofgfx like this.

Any software that you will use for this purpose will probably give you fairly crappy code. I don't know Fireworks, but if it is like the other Adobe products I have tried, it will tend to try to make code that will cover all situations, and therefore the code will be bloated and cludgy.

Hand coding, when done well, is much cleaner, and can actually be faster to write.

Just remember, because of the browser differences, most companies that provide a point and click solution will write code that is generally redundant and have a lot of excessive code because they are just trying to make it easy, they generally don't bother with standards.

There are hundreds of programs ( some even free ), that can slice and dice an image into HTML, but none will generate standards compliant code ... Meaning your clients site will never load fast, the code will get in the way of search engines indexing and ranking the site properly and may not display properly in all browsers.

MS PowerPoint even got into this game several years ago, where you can create a website from presentations ... But the code it generates is so crappy, it only runs in IE browsers ( but that's what they want ).

So did Word...and Word's code is so bad that a lot of WYSIWYG editors (e.g. CKEditor) have a button specifically for copy/pasting content from Word so that it can be reformatted.

Photoshop does this... (did i miss something?), but it generates heavy code.

WZ's comment. That's all that needs to be said.
