I was just wondering how do you guys start a design or logo?
I know if I see some thing intresting I can base a site or a logo around that one little object or style such as a feather. But how do you guys start a design or logo. and how did you learn.

Also how do you decide on your layout

It's art. Just plain and simple. Everyday occurances combined into imagination come out as art. If you have an idea to express you can narrow down your ideas really fast, but otherwise just sit there and try stuff out.

One of the best ways is too focus on what the product, service etc that you are trying to market, sell, whatever and then look at similar and parallel markets and see what they have done. Then from there you can give yourself a direction.
