    Hey,
    I was wondering how to create an effect for the banner like on Stratus' page, www.any1design.com At the top with the banner and the mouse icon, I was just wondering how to create the lines through the image that appear faded or is it this simple, you just draw lines through the image and change the opacity to a low number? Thanks alot!

    The best way would be to do a pattern in Photoshop.

    1. Create the pattern you want on a blank canvas, make sure the background is transparent.
    2. Go to edit-->define pattern
    3. Go into the image which you want to apply the effect to
    4. Right click the fill icon and select the pattern option
    5. Add a new layer
    6. Find your pattern in the patterns drop down selector
    7. Fill the page
    8. Set the opacity of the layer 30%
