I want to create a 3D panorama of an object to be placed on a web site. I would like to add a facility where the object can be rotated using the mouse.

I need some advice on which software to use for the same.

To get an idea of what I want to achieve one can visit the following URL

Depends what the object is. You will need the hardware before you get the software...

    Something like this?...

You need a camera and Quicktime VR. I have never used it personally, but it seems like you just take a number of pictures from varying angles, and you composite them into one 3d world. Search google for quicktime vr authoring tips, or how to's.

Yes, Quicktime VR but that's for mac OS 9 only - I found an app for Mac OS X: the VR Worx - ab fab, too. Easy to use. There - must be the first time I answer my own question.
    Many thanks Havik,

Use a tripod, and make sure you overlap the edges of each shot.

    Hi Webelero,

I couldn't ge that link to work, the pic came up and it crashed my browser. Anyway, this might help.

    http://www.anfyteam.com/

Down lod the pack of 52 java aplets and there is one in there that will produce what I think your talking about.

When installed on your computer, look in the 3D applets group, and it's called ANPANORAMA.(it'll be clear once you've dowloaded the program).

    Hope this helps.
