which is better and do u even like how they look.

    now for the question.

the second one i used the polgonal tool to make the borders around it. I probably should have made them not as thick but anyway, what i need help on is this: when i made those polygon borders they didn't create layers they became part of the background which then wouldn't let me select them individually, i had to select the whole layer. How do i make it so that when i make one polygon it becomes one layer instead of becoming part of the background or part of another layer.

    Hello

That's a nice design, and as for which I like better, that would be the first. The lines around the second don't look very nice just because some aren't drawn straight, others don't line up correctly, and that many just makes the header look too busy.

As for your Photoshop woes, it looks like you are using a line tool, not the polygonal tool, in which case you can rasterize each line after drawing.

If you are using the polygonal lasso tool, just create a new layer after you draw a selection and before you go painting in it. That should keep each shape independant of each other so you can edit them.

    Good Luck,

The first design is better, the lines around the second look fairly dodgy, and I wouldnt use it if I were you.
