I've tried PSP and Photoshop, yet both seem to make the images very jaggedy. BTW, I am shrinking down images. Anyone have any ideas?

Try playing around with the compression settings, those two programs are industry standard graphics programs. They do a pretty good job at resizing images. Also, be sure to maintain the same aspect ratio when shrinking the image. Don't resize a photo that's 400x800 to a size of 100x100.

Have you tried BATCHIMAGE? http://www.junglemetal.com/ I use this program to make batch photos at what ever size I want them to be with whatever color background I want them all to have. It is a neat little program.

Sorry you lost everything, but if you ever start again....you might want to try the program. It's a neat one!
