i use macromedia studio mx (everything in it except cold fusion ,still trying to figure that one out) and adobe photoshop 6.0 (dont have 7.0 yet, and my comp doesnt support CS). I know how to do roll over images where the image/button changes, and how to make complex/disjointed roll overs. I want to learn how to make the buttons that when you put the mouse over them, a nav panel forms underneath it. a good example is can someone let me in on how to do this?

The navigation is made using flash. There's no disjointed rollovers here. Also, it's not really a menu since your not able to leave the button w/out the text disappearing. This is a simple effect with a movie clip on the "over" state of the nav button. It's pretty easy to do if you have Studio MX. Also you can find lots of interesting flash tutorials on Additionally, the designer of that XS-Engineering site is and he's a member of the Kirupa Forums.
    Hope this helps.
