I need critiques and ideas. I'm not really happy with either concept, but I like the lightbulb idea. Anyone have any thoughts?

As you haven't had much help Transio I thought I would give you some of my expert advice ;-)

I agree the light bulb idea is a good one.
I like the second one, in the black and white a lot better. I'm not a big fan of the other idea, not sure why but I just don't think it is the best you have done compared to some other work I have seen from you.

The black and white however is really good I think. It's really simple but it's nice and effective. It works. I still think there could be more added to it but what, is another question
I think your being over critical of yourself, like most people are. They are good both, but #2 is far superior.
    I would be happy. lol.

I think they're both ok, but as Dan says the second is better.

However, I think the idea behind the first was really good - it was just it's execution that wasn't amazing. I don't know why but the two different shades of blue really bug me - I think you need to change one of them so that they match, and then that'd probably be the killer of the two.

I think the second would look good if you perhaps had a 3D lightbulb? You could experiment with colours. The first is good as well, but just looks rather odd, expesially with the white rectangle in the centre of the light. The colours need unifying somewhat.

the lightbulb is a good idea, but you need to make it more than a lightbulb, if you know what i mean. i like the black and white too. i always start a logo in black and white then move on to add color and style to it when i use it on a website. just make it really unique, and you're set

The first one is crap dude, I'm sorry but I don't like it at all.

The second is pretty good, but just a bit bland.

The whole lightbulb/itelli is a bit old and cliche, but it works. Not to mention it's hard to come up with a graphical representation of software development...

I know you can do much better, so uh, go do better!
