Now that the upgrade to Web Design Forums.net "WDF v5" looms closer every day, what new features would you like to see at WDF, and which would you like changed or removed?

Note that WDF v5 will include the following new features (these are all partial lists):
    • Reputation system (posts are rated, members with higher reputation have more influence)
    • A store where you can buy WDF-related apparel
    • A fixed layout based on a 1024-pixel-wide screen (versus the current 800-pixel assumption)
    • Drastically smaller markup for faster download times
    • A search bar at the top of every page
    • A "Post of the Day" (tentatively named) system

What will be improved in WDF v5:
    • Site of the Month contests will resume and be fully automated
    • How's My Site forum will offer higher granularity when rating a site and offer markup/style validations
    • Clarified rules, including modifications to clarify advertising in posts (signature advertising is still permitted)
    • Becoming a WDFplus member will hide ads
    • Automated awards system for rewarding donors, WDFplus members, moderators/administrator, repute members, and Site of the Month winners
    • Most of the features from vBulletin 3.5 (WDF runs the 3.0 series)

What will be removed from WDF v4 in WDF v5:
    • Turtle dollars (replaced with reputation system, ideally old turtle dollars will be imported into reputation system)
    • Liquid layout (only static layout)
    • A great deal of unnecessary text in favor of a cleaner, faster, more efficient interface
    • "Before Posting" box above all forums (will be replaced with a more intuitive layout integrated with the threads)

The better WDF, the better your experience here will be along with the 11,000+ registered members. So, what would you change?

Just out of curiosity... why did you move from a liquid to a static layout? Usually you see sites go the other way. I think the JS switcher implemented here was done very well.

It would have been far too complex to support a liquid layout with the appearance, and next to impossible to accommodate both simultaneously.

Impossible, merely because it has not been implemented yet. I win.

Instead of the quick reply, can there be the full reply instead? I realy love being able to reply at the bottom of the page, and scrolling above to see what was written and stuff (other forums have those iframes which can be hard to scroll through using the mouse wheel).

My apologies for adding a post a week after the last person, but sometimes we're slow, right.

I would like to see some navigation at the bottom of the page. A repeat of the breadcrumbs would be perfect.

No need to apologize! The more input the better!

Good idea although all of vB's templates will have to manually changed to support it. Brilliant!
