Some things you just aren't supposed to joke about... You got me on the brink of a stroke with that!

It took me a long time to make that. No need to hurt my feelings.

What exactly do you mean by making CSS an option? For what?

I think he DCScene means that when posting some CSS, instead of wrapping it in [ code ] [/ code ] tags, you would wrap it in [css] [/css].

I like the codebank idea, posting new versions of code etc..

Oh, right. So basically the support for other languages bit. We could alternatively do a
,
,
type thing. Though it's more typing, it would be more flexible. Just using
would use no syntax highlighting.

that would be far more helpful it would also make it passable for users to specify a language even if one was not specified so if
but syntax for this language was unknown it would still be recognizable by name

Not a bad idea (the syntax of the tag), although for compatibility purposes, the current style (
, etc.) will remain supported. Otherwise old posts would be broken in any new (hypothetical) system, or in the case of vBulletin, broken entirely.

That's not saying the new proposed format won't be implemented, just that the old one is guaranteed to be supported regardless.
