    website issues please help

I have been asked by the company I work for to oversee the website as we have had very little updates/input and they thought it would be a good idea to upload some images to existing articles. this is my problem, when I log in to edit the site the page I go to edit the article and it asks me to choose an image for that article, I add the image and save the article and it shows the image just fine......BUT when I go to our website as a member of the public from another computer for instance the image just doesn't show at all on the article? I have no clue as to why this is happening. would really appreciate some expert views on this. Thanks.

What the hell?! This problem appears more and more often Happened to one of my websites too... Ok, so problem is following:
    1. There are at least to servers for your website - i guess, cloud server (i'm not sysadmin, so might be wrong there)
    2. From your IP you can access only secondary server, which cannot overwrite the primary server

    Solution:
Gain access to IP or account with full access and make changes from there or ask someone with primary IP to upload images that you want

a few things that you can look at. Kind of hard to give you a hard answer without knowing all the details.

is this a custom built site or a CMS. If cms is the platform unto date. Check all plugins as well
Next check server side see what php your running if you are running 5.5 or older look at having your host upgrade it to 5.6
do you have caching set up on the site. if so dump the cache and see if that fixes your issue as well.
if its only local on your system flush your dns as well as well as clear your computer history and cache

    Best of luck.

Try clearing your cache, history and cookies. Restart the browser and access the page again. Does the problem still exist? Review carefully your codes for your different users and compare their views.
