    How do I create a shopping cart from top to bottom using html?

    Hey everyone,

    I am a novice web designer recently graduated and I am having trouble creating a shopping cart as I haven't learned it in school. So I am just wondering if someone could help me here?

    <form method="post" action="http://www.webdevfoundations.net/scripts/cart.asp">
    <input type="hidden" name="Dishwasher" id="$299.99" value="299.99">
    <input type="submit" value="Add to Cart">

    This is what I found online and it does not help me at all, I didn't learn php or js. I have basic knowledge on both but I can't create the shopping cart. Basically what I want it to be able to do is have multiple items for sale with the add cart feature, remove from cart feature, checkout feature. Also after all that it would need billing information and a receipt of purchase.

    Could someone please help.

    Thanks.

    Do you have the scripts/cart.asp to post that information to?

    If what you're looking for is a cart and you don't have any, then the simplest route in the short run (albeit not the most optimal) would be to download something like osCommerce and customize it from there. You don't need to know PHP to use it, although it does help if you do.

    The reason you never learned about it in school is because no web design course that I know of will teach it. It's a topic very few people understand to begin with, and even fewer have the capability to teach. Schools really should start to bone up on it themselves, understand it, and then teach it.
