    Hey guys,

    I'm working on a site and have added a forum to it. I am trying to create my own template so that is matches the look of the main site. (first try btw)

    As standard (and very simplified) there is:

    Code:
    <div id="wrap">
    <div id="page-header"></div><!--end #page-header-->
    BODY
    <div id="page-footer"></div><!--end #page-footer-->
    </div><!--end #wrap-->
    I have changed this because I wanted the header and footer outside of the page-wrap so that there were not any size restraints from the parent container div.

    Now it looks like:

    Code:
    <div id="page-header"></div><!--end #page-header-->
    <div id="wrap">
    BODY
    </div><!--end #wrap-->
    <div id="page-footer"></div><!--end #page-footer-->
    However, now that this has been done I am struggling to edit the header and footer at all.

    I cannot find in any of the CSS where I can edit the header or footer (and any sub-divs) div.

    Do I have to start adding this myself? Surely not as the header must be controlled by something as it already has a load of set values i.e. height, width etc

    Hopefully I have explained this OK.

    Many thanks in advance.

    I would first open the CSS file and do a ctrl+F and search for #page-header and #page-footer then remove #wrap from the selector string. Then you can edit them till your hearts content.
