Hello! I need some help building an ecommerce website. The website is a wholesale website that has an ecommerce section built in, with secure login and everything. The problem I'm facing is, I am a web DESIGNER, with some working knowledge of PHP and mySQL. I have no problems building a dynamic gallery and things like that. However, with an ecommerce website, it all sounds so complicated and I don't think I have the ability to code one from scratch.

I was wondering if there is any flexible/easily customizable CMS I can use? Would Drupal be a good choice? Any CMS suggestions (free or paid) will be much appreciated! Thanks!

EvaBrown: spammers are often less than picky about dates.

Duly noted and banned (not just for this...for another spam post.)

For those looking into e-commerce for the first time, I recommend looking at Zen Cart. Other good choices are osCommerce and Magento. These systems allow you to maintain content (products), configure shipping rates, tax rates, issue discount coupons, run specials and sales, and much more.
