Hi there! I've played around with the "3 big" CMS systems (wordpress, joomla, drupal) I see pros and cons to all of them. All of them are pretty neat though.

Some of my clients want to be able to update content on their websites themselves. The drawback, is some of these clients find their facebook business pages' too overwhelmingly "technical". Their words, not mine. *Sigh*

Anyone have experience with super "non-technical" clients that have found one of these popular CMS systems to be user friendly? I mean, super user friendly!!?

What are the pros and cons for the CSS editing capabilities for each CMS?

    I appreciate any advice! Thanks!

I have had good luck teaching some "very not web savvy" people how to post to a WP blog, but if you have someone that cant handle FB, I really dont know what to tell you!

Dude, if your client is like that, you're not going to find a CMS in the world that'll solve their problems.

This is actually what led me to start building them several years ago. I have a few clients who are...let's say technically challenged. We're talking people who were told that they needed to turn off their servers by restarting them and then turning the server off at POST...and they'd do it. So what I had to do was build a CMS for those people around their sites, spend an hour showing them how to work it, and another 8 adjusting things to protect them from themselves.

Doing this is one of the most difficult things I've ever done...but doing it also made me a much better programmer. If you can build something for technical neophytes that works for them, that they'll use, and that they won't destroy, then there isn't a lot you can't solve.

    What GAME said,

The basic nature of a cms implies at least some level of technical knowledge, users are given access to the back end of a site, get my drift?

"Here lies TheGAME1264, one of the most knowledgeable, least humble SOBs in the web industry. He helped so many, and kicked the asses of so many more. He taught us the virtues of tactlessness, brutality, and just plain being AWESOME. And we will miss him."
