I'm currently looking around to see what CMS best fits my needs, i have big dreams to create a escort directory website. my website will consist of video and photographs of all escort advertisements. but i need help finding the right content management system for this job and the right functionalities for my site.

The main theme of my website is multimedia content - videos and photographs. To cut a long story short i want to make it user friendly, have escorts control there own content, edit there own profiles, add/delete videos&photos.

does anyone know which would be the right CMS for my site, and which functionality(s) i need? i hope i hav'nt confused yall. i have very little backround in web design. to get a clearly picture of what my site will look like i have a link i hope this helps,

where do i start? please help

note: escorts on my site will be charged a monthly membership fee so i will need a payment processor included. ( im not sure if this effects which CMS i use)

I can only suggest that you first find a hosting provider that will allow you to run the site. There are very few, and most charge a premium fee, just because they can.

As for a CMS, there are many, but for the functionality your are seeking ( user controlled sections, I'm assuming visitor registration and verification systems , and payment processing ), you're probably talking something custom built or at least purchased. Most if not all FREE content management systems are limited in functionality and security. When you start handling people's personal information, certain levels of security need to be observed.

Since you openly admit very little if any web design skills, then you should probably look for a turn key solution and pay a monthly fee, where the hosted solution will provide support,'security, updates, etc. That leaves the marketing up to you... And you'll be entering a cut throat industry competing with others that have been doing this a long time. But since it's generally a local market, you may actually stand a chance.
