How do I completely delete 404 pages in WordPress

I just did a google search of "" and it gave me a whole lot of pages from my website that I didn't know existed. They must have been part of the theme i am using but my actual website only has about 3 pages that are needed. Most of the theme pages lead to a 404 page, so does that affect my SEO?

Is it possible to somehow delete the pages I don't need and how do I do that?

If they're part of the theme, you won't need to do anything. They won't affect you one way or the other.

If they're part of your site, however, I'd suggest using 301s to redirect users (and bots) to the appropriate current content.

if this pages actually return 404 errors and you don't link to them from anywhere on the website (including sitemap.xml), they should disappear from Google index by themselves. Check also in Google Search Console > Crawl > Crawl Errors. There should be the list of error pages and where are they linked from.
