Arrow How to deal with malware and blacklisting?

One of my Wordpres sites has been hacked and defaced several times. I've updated everything but still this happens. I had the server install Patchman to handle malware but it's doing a **** poor job as my site is now FULL of TONS of malware and it's BLACKLISTED... I've NEVER HAD This happen before so I don't know what to do here. For some reason. Patchman is not able to remove this malware.

Wordpress install. Everything is updated. Weird thing is I don't have an SSL cert installed. the http version does not get hacked. But type in my url with https first and cpanel uses its own ssl and the site hack appears ..any clues how this could be?

I used FTP to download the entire contents of public_html and scanned it with malwarebytes and spybot. Nothing came up. I used virustotal to scan my entire site..nothing comes up...HOWEVER when I use sites that are made to scan other websites for malware, it says my site is full of malware and blacklisted.

How can it be that local scans show no malware but the online ones all do?

Though not an actual question, I have to wonder why wordpress is STILL so buggy? Why don't they implement the many security "fixed" people describe, out of the box?
