    mysql innoDB locking/transactions query

    Hi there people, I have been writing some php for some of my work and would like to be sure that the locking i have implemented is working. (or in theory should be anyway) It appears as though it may be but i would like your opinions anyway. My logic is roughly shown below:

    PHP Code:
    mysql_query("set autocommit = 0");
    mysql_query("lock tables TABLE_NAMES_HERE write");

    ...
    selects updatesdeletes etc in here...

    mysql_query("commit");
    mysql_query("unlock tables");
    Any thoughts would be appreciated as i have not implemented locks of any kind with innoDB.

    cheers
    Hayden
