Basic login site creation, server side question

    Hi there,

I'm coding my first login site and have some basic questions. Here's what I've done so far and the wall I hit:

-Login front end fields and verify.php made.
    -MyPhpAdmin uploaded to server.
-cannot create file correctly, I just get a message that I cannot access the MySQL database.

Will I have to have created a MySQL file beforehand, or will this be generated by MyPhpAdmin?

Has anyone gone through building a login site with database without the assistance of web tools? In an effort to better understand the architecture, I'm trying to see if I can construct this thing with the bare minimum.

You will need to create a database and make sure the config has the correct information.

Theres tons of tutorials on google to do this and isn't hard at all. Main things you will need to do is setup a database, then create a table with a login and pw . This is all you really need to login. Other inputs in the table depend on what else you need stored on a db linked to that user.
