    I'm very new to setting up mysql databases. I'm wanting to know how to create a blank mysql db on my linux box and link it to the message board I'm testing. I have mysql and apache running on my server settings. So, If anyone knows thanks for the help.

    From the command line, you can issue the following command to create a database:

    Code:
    mysqladmin create database_name
    replace the database_name with the name you want.

    I used this at work a few months ago, but I'd been perusing vB's source for a while and had already gotten the basics of MySQL: http://www.sams.com/catalog/product....-3BCFDD08B32D}
